What factors do you consider when creating cohesive interior and exterior color palettes?

 Interior and exterior color and style palettes work hand in hand.  I always consider the bones of the home.  We can not ignore what the home tells us it wants to be with regard to style and other influencing factors.  The setting and the site definitely influence what will happen inside of the home.  Is there a view? Are we in nature? Is there something outside that we do or do not want to focus on?

• How do you envision accessorizing a space to elevate its overall aesthetic?

Thinking about how to accessorize a space comes a little later for me.  Once I have the “big stuff” handled, at the top of the funnel, I begin to think about decor: furniture, art, accessories, wallcoverings, etc.  If a client has special artifacts or things that are important to them to incorporate into the design, we deal with those items and find a place for them first, sometimes within custom cabinetry, sometimes it involves building niches and alcoves to house their treasures.
